Promoting financial self-reliance

Gijs Bolsius, team leader banking & financial services management municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch, explains that the 'Bossche approach to budget management' has been developed within the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. This is a completely new way of looking at budget management and ensures that citizens develop the necessary competencies to be financially self-reliant. The Bossche approach had already been added to Fincent, but now that we have fully implemented Fincent in our basic services, our approach is being strengthened and we are even better able to actively guide residents and provide them with the right help on a tailor-made basis so that they regain control over their finances.
