As of August 12, 2026, packaging manufacturers must be able to provide an EU declaration of conformity upon request. No notified body (external inspection agency) is required—but the documentation must be substantively correct. We’ll prepare the correct template for you, verified against the official text of the regulation.

Art. 5-12: Compliance Matrix with Verified Data
The correct effective date for each article—including the distinction that Article 8 is a review milestone, not an immediate obligation, and that the definition of reusable packaging (Art. 11) has been in effect since February 11, 2025, regardless of the reuse targets starting in 2030.

Appendix VII/VIII: The two appendices separately and correctly
Appendix VII describes the assessment procedure and the technical dossier, while Appendix VIII outlines the model structure of the declaration itself. These are two different appendices that, in practice, are often confused with one another more often than you might expect.

Appendix A/B: Material Data That Adds Up
The component list and the bill of materials are compared: the total weight per material type must match the sum of the individual components, rather than two separate lists that may contradict each other.
