Unity in IT: The key to successful growth

AIC Visser Assen was created by the merger of AIC and Visser Assen. This merger was a strategic move to grow into the largest total supplier in the Netherlands in the field of infra equipment, building site equipment and road marking (B2B and B2C). Ultimately, the organization wants to expand internationally through a buy-and-build strategy.

As with many mergers, this one brought with it a digital transformation issue, namely: integrating the two original IT landscapes into a new, unified IT proposition.

Challenges & Requirements: From Legacy IT to Modern SaaS Solutions

While redesigning its IT landscape, AIC Visser Assen encountered several challenges:

To meet these challenges and realize a future-proof integration landscape, AIC Visser Assen approached us for advice on an iPaaS-based solution and its implementation within their IT landscape. The main requirements we were given:

A step-by-step approach with longer-term vision

Our approach:
iPaaS Strategy Blueprint

Together with AIC Visser Assen, we started an iPaaS Strategy Blueprint project as an expert. In this we investigated the differences between an IT landscape without iPaaS (with point-to-point integrations) and an IT landscape with iPaaS. This process consisted of three intensive phases that we carried out within one week:

  1. Intake - Gain insight into current situation and business objectives.
  2. On-site workshop - Jointly explore the challenges and opportunities of iPaaS.
  3. Advice - Deliver a concrete and substantiated strategic advice.

Results: Consulting as a foundation for digital transformation

The process was successful and brought clarity to both the organization and IT challenges. The output included sound advice for both the project teams and the management team, based on the following elements:

  • Explaining iPaaS and its role within the IT landscapeConcrete next steps
