In a rapidly evolving world, customers today expect to be constantly updated on the latest developments in available building materials. For Hakron's customers, a physical catalog brings much convenience to the construction site itself.
Compiling multiple catalogs takes a lot of time and effort. The process starts with processing product information, followed by shaping an InDesign file in the right style and with the correct product information. This time-intensive process took months, which meant the catalog was out of date at the time of publication. How do we make it easier and faster to maintain multiple catalogs?
To meet these challenges, the catalog process has been automated. The entire process, from information management to print optimization, is now digitized. All product information is managed in SyncForce and then optimized in Virto, and the final layout is done using 2imagine, which places all the information in an InDesign template. The completed catalog is viewable online and editable as needed. This optimized file is print-ready with just a few clicks. Thus, desktop design tools such as Adobe InDesign are almost unnecessary during catalog production.
