It is increasingly recognized that creating a simple and easy-to-understand digital environment is essential for attracting and retaining customers. Hoenderdaal Fasteners, a leading Dutch importer and wholesaler of fastening technology, is also committed to delivering optimal customer experiences. Their commitment to customer satisfaction led to a thorough overhaul of their website aimed at improving the user experience.
After three years online, Hoenderdaal's platform was in need of an upgrade. Outdated design, inconsistent use of corporate identity, confusing navigation and a lack of responsiveness kept users from an optimal experience.
Step by step, we took Hoenderdaal through the design process. Starting with rough sketches and wireframes to determine the structure and navigation of the portal.
This approach allowed us to validate our ideas and concepts quickly, which allowed us to shift gears more efficiently and make the adjustments. The design of the portal was built based on components. An iterative process, in which regular reviews and brainstorming sessions with the client were essential.
The result is a robust design system that not only fits seamlessly with the client's goals, but also ensures consistency and scalability for the future.
After the design phase, we moved on to implementation. Close collaboration ensured that the new design was implemented flawlessly. We did a lot of testing to ensure performance and responsiveness on different devices and browsers. All this resulted in a user-friendly portal for Hoenderdaal Fasteners.
The website now enjoys longer session duration and increased engagement.
The clearer call-to-action buttons led to a higher number of completed transactions.
Customers appreciated the improvements in ease of use and aesthetics, which helped strengthen Hoenderdaal Fasteners' brand image.
